Download the MODE add-in file
On the MODE pricing page, enter the guest code you received. Then click Get MODE add-in. Your browser downloads a small file called manifest.xml. Leave that file exactly as it is — do not open or edit it.
Use MODE in Outlook, activate a license, understand recipient behavior, and resolve the most common setup questions.
You do not need to be technical. You only do this once, and it normally takes about two minutes.

Use Outlook in your web browser and sign in with the Microsoft account where you want to test MODE. Then open Microsoft's add-in setup page below.
Choose My add-ins. Scroll to Custom add-ins, choose Add a custom add-in, then Add from file. Select the manifest.xml file you just downloaded. Confirm Microsoft's installation message.
Go back to Outlook and create a New mail. Click Apps in the compose window, then choose MODE. If MODE is already visible directly in your ribbon, simply click it there.
Choose ACTION and TO. The subject should immediately start with [ACTION · TO]. You can then type the normal subject after it and optionally add a due date.
That is normal. Look for the same ideas: My add-ins, Custom add-ins and Add from file. If MODE does not appear immediately after installation, close the Outlook browser tab and open Outlook again.
In a new Outlook message, open MODE, choose a message mode, choose TO / CC / BOTH, and optionally set a due date. MODE writes the signal at the beginning of the subject, for example [ACTION · TO · BY 08 OCT].
After purchase or an approved Impact Points redemption, activate MODE with the license token provided by DraftMode. MODE checks only the license identity/status; email body content is not sent to DraftMode.
Recipients can read the subject signal without installing MODE. Recipients with MODE can open it on supported Outlook read surfaces and, for actionable messages that apply to them, store a personal Done state.
Outlook mobile can expose MODE while reading supported messages. Interactive sender-side MODE selection remains a desktop/web Outlook capability in the current product.
Check the full FAQ first. Before Marketplace launch, the production support page will also include a monitored support email or support form.
